- Is counselling confidential?
Yes, It is extremely important that you feel able to be yourself and speak freely in your counselling session. The particular details of confidentiality will be explained in depth at your first meeting with your counsellor
- How many sessions will I need?
Premier Counselling offer a flexible approach to session frequency, duration and number. These will all vary depending on the individual and the reason for counselling. As a rule of thumb, appointments will be made as frequently as is useful to the client. Often people are seen weekly or fortnightly and then feel comfortable decreasing the frequency of their sessions over time.
- Is my counsellor fully qualified?
All appointments are made with Joanna Webber. Joanna holds a Diploma in Clinical and Pastoral Counselling and qualified in 2004.
- What's the difference between counselling and Life Coaching
Life coaching is a practice that helps people identify and achieve personal goals. By its nature, it is goal orientated and solution focused. Counselling concerns itself more with exploring an individual's feelings and unearthing unconscious thought processes. These unconscious thoughts and beliefs may have caused distress or are unhelpful to the client, bringing them into the open allows the client to change them.
- What if I am on low income?
Those on low incomes are invited to discuss payment options at their initial session
